To facilitate the University in moving towards excellence in the commercialization of research at the national and international levels

Objectives

-To position research and innovation as one of the prioritized agenda of UMK

-To produce highly skillful researchers and talented, creative and innovative graduates in research

-To focus on research clusters/niches which will give identity in the research strength of UMK

-To strengthen research vision and innovation for entrepreneurship

-To undertake new, relevant and impactful research for socio-economic development

-To complement the agenda outlined by the national agenda in research
